Description of LDPE LFI 2119:

LDPE LFI 2119 is a grade of Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), a widely used thermoplastic polymer. LDPE is characterized by its branched molecular structure, which gives it lower density, flexibility, and good processability. LFI 2119 is specifically designed for film extrusion and other processing techniques, offering excellent clarity, low-temperature flexibility, and good chemical resistance. It is commonly used in packaging applications, such as plastic films, bags, and sheets, as well as for products requiring high elongation and tear resistance.

Key Properties:

  • Density: ~0.918 g/cm³
  • Melt Flow Index (MFI): Typically around 1.0-3.0 g/10 min (depending on processing conditions)
  • Tensile Strength: Moderate (around 15-20 MPa)
  • Elongation at Break: High (around 300-700%)
  • Flexural Modulus: Around 200-500 MPa
  • Softening Point: ~ 105-115°C
  • Chemical Resistance: Good resistance to acids, bases, and alcohols.

Applications:

  • Packaging Films (e.g., grocery bags, stretch films)
  • Agricultural Films
  • Flexible Packaging Materials
  • Plastic Bags
  • Sheets and Laminates for various consumer products.

This grade of LDPE offers good balance between strength, flexibility, and cost-efficiency, making it popular for general-purpose applications in various industries, especially in the packaging sector.
